New World Share For Good

Hong Kong’s First Large-scale Crowd-donation Platform
Caring Through Sharing

Quite simply, a game-changing way to donate

Share for Good is Hong Kong’s first large-scale crowd donation platform. It is initiated by New World Development, and is joined by 120 participating NGOs across Hong Kong. As an all-digital platform, Share for Good provides instant matching between the urgent needs of the local community and donors, who are invited to make donations in either cash or supplies; their donations are then accurately delivered to all those in need. Share for Good also works closely with government departments and business sectors to offer innovative solutions that help alleviate social problems.

The
Warmth

Never stop sharing for love. Together with other donors across scoiety, we provide with warm hearts and support those in need through thick and thin.

Joining blocks to help through gaming

Through "Share for Good”, New World Group has co-created a series of virtual edutainment Classroom Modes called Minecraft: Education Edition. Together with Microsoft HK , Lenovo, HKT and ELECOM HK, students from Children's Cancer Foundation, Hong Kong Single Parents Association and Principal Chan Free Tutorial World had learned more about the history and culture of the Tsim Sha Tsui community through the world of Minecraft, alongside hardware support. We hope the project helps the community to gather more strength and to help underprivileged children.

Job Matching Initiative “Future EMpowered” for Ethnic Minority Women Facilitating Entry into Innovative Job Fields

Share for Good has partnered with seven trendy innovative companies to launch the "Future EMpowered" job matching initiative for ethnic minority women. This initiative provides diverse and innovative job opportunities and workplace training, aiming to broaden their career choices and enhance upward mobility. It also provides them the skills needed to utilize the application of emerging technologies such as Generative AI in various industries, keeping them abreast of the latest developments in the workplace.

Collaborates with Chevalier Group to launch “Future Step-Up” programme Cultivating Next-Gen Talents

Fully supported by the Chevalier Group, 16 innovative companies and 5 NGOs, Share for Good has launched the “Future Step-Up” programme, to offer targeted support to over 100 youths from Small Group Homes. It introduces the concept of "unlimited work trial" and a series of innovative career planning workshops, with the aim of inspiring young people and facilitating them to plan for their future.

Innovation Meets the Hearts

Share for Good has received wide recognition for its efforts in crisis response and social responsibility, as well as its flexible and innovative approach to societal challenges. Over the past year, Share for Good has been honoured with 21 awards, including the prestigious Effie Award and Kam Fan Awards. Such achievements are not only due to the backing from all sectors, but also because of every citizen who supports us. Share for Good remains steadfast in collaborating with government departments, business sectors, and organizations to unleash social innovation, tackle societal challenges and transform lives for the better.

"Next-Gen AI-Imagenation Initiative" Diminishes Digital Divide

Generative AI is a new global technological phenomenon. Share for Good has collaborated with Adobe and DBS Hong Kong to launch the Next-Gen AI-Imagenation Initiative in summer 2023, to provide free tutorials on creative Generative AI engine Adobe Firefly for about 200 students from five secondary schools under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, in addition to the donation of laptops. This effort aims to help enhance the students' digital skills by equipping them AI knowledge in preparation for their future.

Share For Good, Share The Love

As COVID-19 gradually eases, the public's needs for anti-epidemic supplies have also decreased. In order to more effectively utilise donations and resources, such as purchasing daily necessities and food, Share for Good will temporarily suspend accepting donations of anti-epidemic supplies. The public may continue to make monetary donations or donate supplies of other necessity items directly to the platform, however, to continue to share the love.

Immediate medications to ease pain

The confirmed cases have skyrocketed in January, so as the popularity of medications. The soaring pricing and demand are issues to hurdle among low-income families and nursing homes, before Share for Good's donations with joint-effort. Partnering with Fortune Pharmacal and the platform major logistics partner S.F. Express (Hong Kong), Share for Good has taken immediate action to allocate 1,700 boxes of Fortolin Extra- with anti-fever and pain relief formula to the underprivileged.

Spread warmth to one and all

As the pandemic continues, lives of the underprivileged are still difficult in the midst of the economic downturn. To ease the financial strain on the community during the hardship, "Share for Good" and NewWorld Mask had joined hands to deliver 2 million pieces of masks to beneficiary organisatioins, that would then delivered to those in need. We hope to transform our warmth and love into anti-epidemic supplies to meet the underprivileged immediate needs and ease their living burden.

Charitable initiative of meal vouchers - Show me your love Rice!

Many restaurants have endured some of their most challenging times ever. Similarly, the underprivileged have also been affected. Many of them finding it difficult to afford even a simple dish of creamed corn with pork and rice (known locally as ‘Show me your love’ rice). “Share for Good” initiated the “Show me your love rice” campaign in May and invited the public to support 7 local restaurants by purchasing and donating meal vouchers for those in need. “Share for Good” has also invited New World Charity Foundation to pilot the purchase of 1,000 “Show your love rice” meals from each participating restaurant. The entire programme had reached over 10,000 beneficiaries.
